Passionate about open source technologies and building large-scale IT infrastructure around it, Willie Engelbrecht started in pre-sales scoping and architecture. His previous role was to build, train and maintain installations of Red Hat solutions, including clusters, storage, virtualisation and cloud and Hadoop infrastructure, as well as systems monitoring with Nagios. Currently, Engelbrecht is a solutions engineer for Hortonworks, and aims to help customers evaluate their big data needs and how our platform can provide them with the capabilities to solve their needs. Engelbrecht will have several solutions on-hand to demonstrate the power of big data.
