He has extensive experience across financial services where his focus has predominantly been on leading the digitisation of capabilities for Standard Bank across the African continent, including award-winning omni-channel solutions, payments modernisation, card processing and various other innovations.
Since 2015, Padayachee has led the modernisation of the data capability across the Standard Bank Group, seeding the next-generation data architecture and operating model and establishing an enabling environment for data to be fully exploited as a strategic asset. Padayachee is an active participant in MIT's Data Advisory Board and an MBA alumnus of the Gordon Institute of Business Science. At Standard Bank, he is a member of the Group IT Exco and the CTO Exco. He is deeply spiritual, is an advocate for diversity and inclusion and a more ethical and compassionate-based existence.
