With 20 years of experience in the ICT industry and 17 of those in the distribution field focusing on channel sales, Magda Hanekom is a seasoned sales professional. Currently, Hanekom manages the Micro Focus and SUSE solutions in the Advanced Technologies stable that sits within Axiz. She has actively been involved in creating and directing the SUSE channel business for Axiz for the past six years.

Her success has been influenced by her never-ending commitment to lead the business and its people towards positioning Axiz as a differentiator in the market, and this has led to her brands being seen as unique offerings in an ever-changing environment.

The main triumph of the SUSE Graduate programme for Hanekom lies in the fact that it is the first of its kind in the ICT market within SA. The programme identified 20 graduates with potential and placed them with SUSE partners in order for them to gain work experience. Within the first five months of launching this initiative, five of the graduates received their first internationally recognised certification.

Hanekom continuously aims to incorporate innovative and unique educational opportunities within in her strategy, as the recruitment and upliftment aims of Axiz remain dear to her heart.
