Due to changing foreign exchange rates, prices in the App Store will go up today in four markets, says Apple. This is according to an e-mail Apple sent its developers yesterday.
South Africa is one of those markets, with Mexico, South Korea and Turkey.
9to5mac obtained a copy of the e-mail, which stated: "We sometimes need to update prices on the App Store whenever taxes or foreign exchange rates change.
"Because of the price increases, customers with auto-renewable subscriptions on the South African, South Korean, and Turkish App Store will need to re-subscribe. However, although the prices are also changing for subscriptions on the Mexican App Store, we won't interrupt those."
Subscribers will be alerted to the increase by e-mail before the next subscription is due. They will then have the option to renew at the higher price.
