Open source business intelligence (BI) provider Pentaho has unveiled a plug-in that delivers interactive analytics for the Apple iPad business user.
According to Pentaho, the plug-in offers iPad users the ability to create analytical reports as well as navigate and access existing business intelligence information from the device.
The company claims the Pentaho Analyzer on the iPad provides ad hoc query and data visualisation capabilities with rich interactivity and secure content distribution.
"We've always been believers in mobile BI as evidenced by being the first to support the iPhone and now the first to support ad hoc analysis for the iPad," says Richard Daley, co-founder and CEO of Pentaho.
Pentaho's BI extension for iPad works with Pentaho BI Suite Enterprise Edition 3.6 RC1.
