Samsung Electronics, a leading provider of mobile phones and telecom systems, is reinforcing its technology leadership with the launch of a new HSDPA handset the, SGH-ZV50, a first in the South African market.

The introduction of this handset follows hot on the heels of the launch of High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology with speeds of up to 1.8 Mbps, by the country's leading network operators, Vodacom and MTN.

The technologically advanced ZV50 supports 1.8Mbps data rates and comes in an attractive, compact design. The handset includes advanced features such as a 2 mega-pixel camera, external MP3 music control keys, 30 MB of internal memory and microSD external memory slot.

Using HSDPA data transfer, the ZV50 can connect to the Internet up to six times faster than other leading technologies, meaning that you can download a full MP3 track in under 20 seconds or a mobile movie in a blink past a minute.
