PBT Group showcases its services at SAS Forum

PBT Group takes up Platinum sponsorship at this year's SAS User Forum

PBT Group is proud to show SAS its support by acquiring the Platinum sponsorship at this year's SAS Forum.

As part of its sponsorship, PBT Group's SAS Consultant Andre Kotze will be presenting on the second day of the User Forum. Kotze's presentation will explore topics related to SQL procedure, pointing out the advantages of using PROC SQL over the traditional data step MERGE method as well as some tips on using it through SQL.

“We at the PBT Group have always featured as a serious SAS player and even more so after our acquisition of SAS specialists InfoSight two years ago. SAS is an important part of our business intelligence offerings,” says Martin Rennhackkamp, COO at the PBT Group. “We also have specialist skills in implementing data warehouses and end-to-end business intelligence solutions to assist organisations in making the most of their informational resources.”

PBT Group has a footprint that extends across West Africa, the Middle East, South Africa and Australia. Using this footprint across the globe, it aims to assist organisations in gathering, storing and distributing information to decision-makers on all levels of a company.

The company boasts close to 200 consultants, 80 of which are certified in SAS, and are all highly skilled in various aspects of business intelligence. These include solution architects, project managers, specialised data modellers, business intelligence business analysts, right through to ETL developers, dashboard, scorecard and report developers.

“Business intelligence is becoming an increasingly important technology to organisations who want to gain a more valuable insight into how they can be more competitive. We believe that the PBT team is in an ideal position to offer consultation and best practice business services to customers looking to go on a business intelligence journey,” adds Rennhackkamp.

PBT Group's highly skilled SAS resources are able to assist customers with their SAS implementations, and the BI competency centres, and have extensive knowledge and technical expertise within the areas of Base SAS, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, Data Integration Studio, and DataFlux.

While remaining product independent, PBT Group provides the best-fit solution for its client's requirements, skills base and budget, partnering with a myriad of global vendors to offer the best-suited solution to customers.

“The PBT Group is a very important partner to SAS South Africa and we are proud to have them as our Platinum partner at this year's SAS Forum,” says Riad Gydien, country manager at SAS.
