MEC Xayiya honours postgraduate students in ICT, engineering sector

The Innovation Hub invites you to join Gauteng MEC for Economic Development Mxolisi Eric Xayiya at the graduation ceremony of CoachLab Skills and Leadership Programme at The Innovation Hub, in Tshwane, on 25 April 2014.

CoachLab is a work readiness programme that bridges the gap between the academic and working world, with a focus on management and personal leadership development training, project management and on-the job-training. All participants have access to a personal coach and industry mentors that are assigned to them based on comprehensive assessments.

The Innovation Hub (TIH), Africa's first accredited science and technology park, is a subsidiary of the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA), which is an agency of the Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED).

Since inception in 2001, the programme has benefited 258 graduates who are now gainfully employed in the private and public sectors.

The media will have the opportunity to interview the students who have been empowered to enter the labour market as industry-ready knowledge workers.
