Cyberoam ties up with IP Dimension as its partner in SA

Johannesburg, 13 May 2014

Cyberoam, the leading global provider of network security appliances, today announced the appointment of IP Dimension as its partner in South Africa.

This partnership is line with the company's recent expansion activities in South Africa - a security market poised to grow at a projected annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% over the next five years. Most businesses in South Africa have begun to prioritise IT security budgets to secure their headquarters, data centres and distributed branch networks. Moreover, SMEs are becoming major growth drivers as compliance regulations earlier meant for large enterprises are now also applicable to them.

Increased uptake of cloud and virtualisation, along with rising interest in open networks and e-business models, is sustaining high demand for enterprise network/IT security. Cyberoam, along with IP Dimension, expects to meet this revved-up demand.

Commenting on the collaboration with IP Dimension, Adrian Anema, Country Manager - South Africa, Cyberoam, said: "Businesses these days emphasise being nimble, as they have to adapt and evolve to the ever-changing compliance landscape, which is easier said than done. Hence, they need specialists who can secure their business networks, which is why IT budgets are becoming a priority. IP Dimension has been a key player in the IT security market in South Africa, and with this collaboration, we hope to empower South African enterprises, helping them achieve transformation and derive true value for network security investments."

The alliance with IP Dimension will strengthen Cyberoam's hold in the region, which is extensively investing in expansion of network infrastructure. IP Dimension's wide array of solutions include networking infrastructure, software, backup solutions, security, servers, storage, repairs as well as computer consumables. It also has a wide range of options for modern enterprises and will be expanding its portfolio of firewalls and unified threat management appliances with Cyberoam's inclusion.

Riaan Lombard - Head of marketing and customer relations, IP Dimension, pointed out: "There is a remarkable shift in IT strategies of companies; earlier IT security was an afterthought, now it is at its core. There could be many reasons for this shift, which is making enterprises recognise security and performance of their networks as a business imperative. However, for us it is a huge opportunity and with Cyberoam we will be best placed to offer advanced ICT solutions with next-generation and proven enterprise security offerings. Cyberoam's proven post-sales support should further improve our odds against the competition, and we see the alliance as a vital part of our efforts towards ensuring full customer satisfaction."

Cyberoam works closely with a wide range of businesses in more than 125 countries, and has been instrumental in strengthening its IT security with its award winning security appliances. From enabling layer-8 user identity-based reporting, EAL4+ certified firewall protection, BYOD visibility, protection for virtual environments, comprehensive coverage for key business apps to actionable intelligence-based security, Cyberoam provides cutting-edge and innovative answers for mission-critical enterprise networks. The unique capabilities and comprehensive security of Cyberoam has resulted in a strong presence in the region, and this collaboration shall facilitate greater reach with established and emerging businesses in South Africa.

Cyberoam is a sponsor of the ITWeb Security Summit, which takes place from 27 - 29 May at the Sandton Convention Centre. In over 30 sessions presented in tracks for either senior business management or IT security professionals, information security professionals will examine the risks facing enterprise information systems today, and the strategies and technologies needed to counter them.
