The Westcon Group has promoted Michelle Chettoa to the role of marketing director for its local operations.

The Westcon Group has promoted Michelle Chettoa to the role of marketing director for its local operations.

The company says Chettoa, a specialist business-to-business marketer, brings more than 15 years of specialised ICT marketing experience to its directorship, including intimate knowledge and understanding of strategic and tactical marketing within the global technology market.

"Michelle is a driven and motivated individual who has a core understanding of the role of each aspect of the channel, from vendor through to distributer and right back to the client-facing reseller," says Paul Conradie, CEO, Westcon Group SA.

"We believe that her passion, attention to detail and pragmatic approach to marketing will allow us to bring consistency and vibrancy to our growing Westcon brands."

Prior to her role at Westcon, Chettoa held the position of marketing manager at Comztek as well as the role of South African marketing manager for a US-based enterprise software vendor.

Her specialities include general and marketing management, brand building, print and digital design, and public relations, among others.
