Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa's top service professionals are awarded at the annual Service Awards

Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa recently awarded its top service professionals at its annual Service Awards ceremony.

Johannesburg, 09 Jul 2014

Once a year, Kyocera hosts a competition for engineers that service the company's products on site. This event is an opportunity for Kyocera to award its certified service engineers for outstanding knowledge of Kyocera hardware and software products. The Service Awards attracts 2 500 service engineers globally who compete to be the best in their country.

Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa hosts the top 10 local engineers at the award ceremony to find the best engineer in South Africa. This year's award ceremony saw guest appearances by Emmanuelle Aco and Takayuki Nakanishi, from Kyocera Document Solutions Europe and guest speaker Laurence Beder, Marketing Consultant and Lecturer (MCom, Wits; Hons BCom, UNISA).

Paul Wendlandt, Customer Services Support Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa, shares his opinion on the relevance of rewarding service engineers in the South African market:

"Kyocera service partners provide the backbone of service delivery across the European and African region. This event was designed to identify our top performers and recognise their knowledge of Kyocera products. It provides an opportunity for our local engineers to compete with top performers from other regions at the European annual Service Awards.

"Kyocera ensures that all of its technicians are up to date in their training, in order to guarantee quality service to our customers. Product Certification is a vital element in Kyocera service delivery; we believe that overall service efficiency and customer satisfaction levels are far higher when service is delivered by a certified engineer. Although our service is already of quality standards, we believe that there is always room for improvement. Our local objective for the next 12 months is to improve the quality of service delivery by focusing on improving our local service network with our partners, and providing a certification framework to develop the skills of our service engineers."

Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa awarded Denzil Gramani, from North Holdings, with top honours at this year's event and an astounding R20 000.00. Gramani will be joining other leading service engineers from across the world at the Service Awards ceremony in Europe, which will be held in September. The winning service engineers from Africa; the Middle East; Oceania and Europe will convene at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe to stand the chance to win the grand prize: a visit to Kyocera's headquarters in Japan.

Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa wishes to congratulate all 10 of its best service engineers and wishes Gramini the best in his attendance in Europe in September.
