Police are investigating two other similar robberies in Gauteng.

More than R1million in Apple goods were stolen in an armed robbery at the Centurion Mall iStore today, according to Gauteng police.

Four men allegedly entered the store pretending to be customers before holding up the manager with a firearm and taking electronic goods.

Police spokesperson Khensani Magoai said: "The following properties were taken - iPhones, laptops and tablets worth over a million.

"They instructed the manager to open the safe. The suspects fled the scene in three vehicles, a white Corsa, black Audi A4, and a silver Mazda."

Magoai added that one of the guards at the mall tried chasing the gang, which responded by shooting at him. He was, however, not harmed.

"Police are also appealing to anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the nearest police station," she said.

According to reports, the Centurion robbery means that it is the third iStore outlet to be hit in Gauteng in less than a month. On August 13, the iStore at Cresta Shopping Centre was robbed, while The Glen's branch was robbed a few days later.

Police said an investigation into the robberies is underway.
