The Cyberoam partners' award ceremony took place last week at Sun City, where distributors from neighbouring countries were recognised for their contribution.
According to Uvendra Sinhgohil, marketing manager, Africa, the partners have been instrumental in the company's growth and the awards ceremony was a way to recognise them for their year-long efforts.
Partners from Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries other than SA were among the award winners, with Ahemed Osman, director at Bits and Bytes, Malawi, awarded the top Partner of the Year in the region.
Other partners include Zimbabwe-based Integrated Internet Security Solutions (IDSS), which won the award for Best Partner in the region. IDSS's Zivanani Mukuku walked away with the Sales Person of the Year award.
"This is a very humbling moment for me," said Mukuku. "I believe this accolade is just the beginning of bigger and better things to come."
Distributor of the Year went to South African partner First Distribution. Derick Grace, product manager for the enterprise, said he was honoured to receive the award on behalf of the company. "I'd like to thank the Cyberoam team for the support and the good working relationship that has been forged," he noted.
Other categories recognised by the awards are High Growth Partner of the Year, Emerging Partner of the Year and Technical Person of the Year.
