Acronis Snap Deploy 5.0 doubles bare-metal deployment speed for workstations and servers, supports multiple OSs

Powerful high-speed deployment platform designed to provision hundreds of workstations and servers.

Johannesburg, 02 Sep 2014

Acronis is launching Acronis Snap Deploy 5, the next version of its popular PC and server deployment tool.

"Ideal for rapid bare-metal initial deployments to a large number of workstations and servers, and ongoing deployment to the same hardware in education, training and lab environments, Acronis Snap Deploy lets you provision hundreds of workstations and servers as fast as you can provision one," says Peter French, Solutions Director at local distributor Synapsys.

Powered by the Acronis AnyData Engine, award-winning disk imaging technology lets you create an exact disk image of any standard configuration you choose - including the operating system, configuration, files and all applications - and simultaneously deploy the image to multiple machines in one easy step.

Fuelled by over 100 patents, the Acronis AnyData Engine is the core suite of technology that powers all Acronis new generation products enabling them to capture, store, recover, control and access data.

Acronis Snap Deploy includes Acronis Universal Deploy, which lets you deploy the same image to dissimilar hardware such as other brands and types of PCs and servers. The product also manages machine-specific configurations including machine names, IP addresses, domain membership, and other settings. In addition, as soon as you finish a deployment, Acronis Snap Deploy lets you easily modify Windows settings.

"The new version doubles the already fastest-in-industry deployment speed of the previous version," says French. "And, in addition to Windows systems, the new version also supports Linux and Windows Tablets."

Acronis Snap Deploy supports machine-specific configurations, Wake-on-LAN, images created with the included imaging tool as well Acronis Backup and Sysprep images, as well as support for Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2. A new site licensing model is also introduced for 1 000+ systems.

The new version is available immediately for trial and purchase. Existing users with a current maintenance and support subscription obtain the upgrade at no charge.
