Bytes Systems Integration joins forces with Cisco to showcase next phase in Internet of everything at Cisco Connect South Africa 2014

Bytes Systems Integration is to be the official sponsor at Cisco's newly branded South African Flagship Technology Forum.

Johannesburg, 15 Sep 2014

Bytes Systems Integration will be partnering with Cisco as the official sponsor at this year's newly branded Cisco Connect South Africa 2014, to showcase a range of innovative, ground-breaking technology solutions and services.

The event, set to take place from 2 to 4 November 2014 in Sun City, will bring together over 1 000 information technology (IT) and business professionals, Cisco partners and industry influencers.

Themed "Tomorrow Starts Here", Cisco Connect South Africa 2014 aims to provide a forum for attendees to discuss and experience the latest technology trends, solutions and innovations that will transform and drive business success for private and public organisations throughout South Africa.

As with its predecessor - Cisco Expo South Africa - attendees at Cisco Connect South Africa 2014 can expect an impressive line-up of senior keynote speakers from Cisco globally. The underlying focus of all the keynotes and sessions over the two-day event will be on how the Internet of everything (IOE) is already driving change not only in the ICT space but also in the daily lives of South African citizens and businesses alike.

Patrick Hastings, Bytes Systems Integration divisional managing director, says the Forum will provide a fascinating glimpse into an emerging application of IP network technology. "The concept of IOE drives the accepted value of information further and deeper into society. It's the power to know. When goods, services, supply and value-chains are connected and communicating, insights can be achieved which were never before possible. The Internet has already shown the value of freely available information; IOE takes that many steps further, making it one of the most exciting developments of our time."

"Cisco Connect is not just a name change - it's a new expanded technology forum that aims to showcase Cisco's most cutting-edge technologies, products and solutions. Our goal is to build on the successes of our past events to intuitively deliver a bigger, yet more focused event for South Africa's IT and business professionals, Cisco partner communities and industry influencers. Our sponsors are instrumental to the event's success so I am delighted that Bytes Systems Integration will be participating as the official sponsor at our flagship event in South Africa. Through our strategic partnership, we can help solve our customers' most important business challenges preparing them for the potential that the Internet of everything era has for improving the way we all live, work and play," said Alpheus Mangale, General Manager, Cisco South Africa.
