The Department of Defence (DOD) is this year emerging as a major advertiser of ICT tenders. The department's numerous invitations to the technology sector mark a distinct departure from its years of rarely publishing requirements. The DOD has traditionally sourced its technology needs from the State IT Agency (SITA); however, it's well known that the fractious relationship has resulted in endless difficulties at the department.
