BUI invests in Cape Town

Johannesburg, 20 Oct 2014

Living Tech, one of Cape Town's leading managed services companies, and BUI, Microsoft's foremost infrastructure and cloud partner, announced on 22 April a partnership to bridge managed services, expert infrastructure and cloud services markets.

Now, only a few months down the line, due to the success of the initial partnership, BUI has purchased Living Tech as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BUI.

The collaboration, which combines Living Tech's managed services and proactive expertise with BUI's multilevel integration and virtualisation, is based on strategic offerings ranging from business-to-business (B2B) services, Microsoft Service Administration and cloud computing. BUI will be expanding its core business into the Western Cape region, and eventually will be able to offer the wide range of key public and private cloud services in that area.

BUI's Managing Director, Ryan Roseveare, says: "We are looking forward to bringing the Living Tech brand under the BUI banner, working more closely together. This offers Living Tech clients a better end-to-end service, giving them access to some of the best consulting resources in South Africa.

"We have a history of collaborating with innovative technology companies to build long-term co-operative business relationships; this ensures superior service for our clients and continued growth for all the employees involved, and this is why we chose to purchase Living Tech as a subsidiary of BUI."

BUI has also been announced Microsoft's Cloud Excellence Partner and Data Centre Partner of the Year 2014 at the recent Microsoft Partner Awards.
