FTI's new Cape Town headquarters accommodate growth

By Faculty Training Institute
Cape Town, 18 Nov 2014

Faculty Training Institute (FTI) Cape Town is moving to new offices at the prestigious Estuaries office park on Oxbow Lane, in Century City. The company, which is well known for its professional programmes in the domains of business and systems analysis, project and programme management, quality assurance and testing, enterprise architecture and leadership, is moving offices to accommodate growth and to be strategically closer in proximity to its parent company, EOH.

"The new office space will position FTI for future growth as FTI's training portfolios expand and new types of training interventions are introduced," says Mike Eccles, acting director of FTI.

In addition to FTI's extensive business analysis training programmes, its Quality Assurance & Testing and Project Management portfolios are expanding.

Since June 2014, Celia Gaylard has been at the helm of FTI's Quality Assurance (QA) & Testing portfolio, and under her leadership, has not only broadened the portfolio's training offering, but aims to bolster the strength of testing programmes with professional accreditation from international accrediting bodies, from 2015.

FTI's project management training offering has also expanded to become a comprehensive portfolio that encompasses all levels of project management - project, portfolio and programme management. "FTI will also be applying for a significant extension of scope from Services SETA that will enable qualifying organisations to claim discretionary grants and tax rebates," says Eccles.

On the horizon are internships and learnerships. In the first quarter of 2015, FTI will be piloting its National Certificate in Business Analysis Learnership (NQF level 6) - a first of its kind for South Africa.

"FTI has seen year-on-year growth since its inception in 1989, to become a world-class trainer to over 7 000 diploma graduates. Currently, FTI accommodates 700 delegates annually at its Cape Town offices. The office move gears FTI for exponential growth as it meets demand for quality education and relevant vocational programmes for the knowledge age going into the future," says Eccles.

In 2012, FTI became an EOH company which saw it become a key training provider in the EOH training academy. "The co-location to the Estuaries, Century City, is a strategic move that will allow for greater synergy between all the training and development EOH business units," says Eccles.

FTI's new address is EOH Building Block C, The Estuaries, 3 Oxbow Lane, Century Avenue, Century City, Milnerton, 7441.
