The company imagines a digital revolution in the hyper-connected future, says Fujitsu's Claus-Peter Unterberger.

Fujitsu Forum 2014, Europe's largest single-vendor technology event, kicked off in Munich this morning. The event aims to showcase how human-centric innovation is enabling customers' growth by providing a "new approach to transform business and create tremendous value for people in a hyper-connected future society".

The event, which expects to host over 10 000 delegates, will feature a variety of keynotes, breakout sessions and expert talks.

The company's vision of a "hyper-connected" world, is one where what it calls "human-centric innovation" empowers individuals and allows them to realise their creative potential to benefit society as a whole, regardless of technical expertise or location.

The tech giant predicts the onset of the hyper-connected era will "spark a digital revolution that creates a world where existing boundaries between industries, physical and digital, enterprise and individuals almost vanish".

Claus-Peter Unterberger, SVP and vice-head of global marketing at Fujitsu, says the company imagines a digital revolution in the hyper-connected future - creating a sustainable world where human-centric ICT will help to create a more intelligent society, where everyone is able to live and prosper.

He adds innovation is at the heart of this "revolution", which will create business and social value by developing solutions and services that bring together the three dimensions of people, information and infrastructure.

"At Fujitsu Forum, we are demonstrating how Fujitsu is the perfect innovation partner, helping our customers cope with challenges and maximise the opportunities of a hyper-connected world by blending their know-how with Fujitsu's expertise."

Alongside this, he says Fujitsu is focusing on innovation and the fusion of advanced technologies encompassing cloud, mobility, big data, social media, the Internet of things and more - to build a human-centric intelligent society.
