Value-added distributor First Distribution has been awarded VMware Service Provider Programme (VSPP) Aggregator of the Year for the southern Africa and WECA region.
The company, a value-added distributor for both VMware's perpetual and service provider licensing, received the awards at the vendor's recent 2013/2014 annual partner award ceremony hosted in Johannesburg last week.

VSPP enables the success of a public, private and hybrid cloud by providing customers with an OpEx strategy for investing in VMware infrastructure on a pay-as-you-go, pay-as-you-grow consumption model. VSPP is the ideal solution for various types of VMware partners who offer hosted services to third parties, such as infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) providers, cloud service providers, application service providers (ASPs), Internet service providers (ISPs) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) providers.
