Mobile payments solutions provider Omlis has partnered with Stratus Technologies, a provider of availability solutions.
The companies say the partnership will enable Omlis to offer its mobile payment solutions through Stratus' infrastructure solutions.
The two solutions providers will jointly deliver infrastructure and mobile payment security solutions they say are "always on and always secure" across the global payments ecosystem. They add the timing of this partnership is key, with many leading retailers experiencing security breaches in 2014.
The Omlis technology enables Stratus to offer its customers a mobile payment encryption solution that is secure and eliminates the risk of large-scale data breaches.
John Stuart, chief commercial officer at Omlis, says the partnership will help both businesses reach new markets, protect businesses and individuals from fraud, and deliver a compelling commercial proposition to the entire payments ecosystem, including financial institutions, payment service providers and mobile network operators.
Stratus has been in the security business for 30 years with its 'Always On' range of solutions, that aim to keep its customers' most critical applications and services from being affected by downtime. "The Omlis solution compliments this by ensuring all mobile-based electronic fund transfers are fully secured," says Stratus.
