Sage ERP details its journey to cloud at Sage Insights 2015

Johannesburg, 09 Feb 2015

Two-hundred-and-eighty Sage ERP business partners from South Africa, Africa and the Middle East gathered at the Sage Insights 2015 conference at Champagne Sports Resort in the Drakensberg to hear about the latest developments in the Sage ERP solution range.

This event - which took place from 5 to 8 February - also celebrated a year of fantastic growth for Sage ERP Africa, following the launch last year of Sage ERP X3 version 7. The theme of the conference this year is "the journey to the cloud", with many of the presentations focusing on how Sage ERP can help its customers to enjoy the efficiencies and flexibility the cloud will bring to their business.

International keynote speakers at the event included Jayne Archbold, CEO of Sage Mid-Market Europe and Sage ERP X3; Sophie Rebeyrotte, head of development control at Sage; Mike Ritchie, leader of the product management team for Sage Software North America's SMB ERP portfolio; and Padraig O'Neill, general manager of Sage CRM.

Says Jeremy Waterman, Managing Director of Sage ERP Africa and Middle East: "The year since our last Sage Insights conference has flown by, and we enjoyed fantastic progress in many areas of our business. Our recently opened office in West Africa shot the lights out in terms of growth, and we also bedded down our vertical market strategies for both Sage 300 ERP and Sage ERP X3.

"The road maps of Sage 300 ERP Online as well those of the hybrid cloud and connected services were delivered at Sage Summit 2014 in the US, and we are excited to launch these soon after. The re-affirmation by Sage North America of Sage 300 ERP as its cloud product brings a new level of confidence to our channel in Africa, and we look forward to showing our partners the new Sage 300 Online product."

Adds Keith Fenner, Vice-President of Sales for Sage ERP Africa and Head of Sage Middle East: "We have seen our first Sage ERP X3 Version 7 site - Omega Refrigeration, going Live in December 2014 with great success. This new version of Sage ERP X3 represents an investment in new technology that positions us way ahead of any of our competition. In addition to talking more about Version 7, we're excited to launch Sage HR Management at the conference."

Sage ERP Africa is also presenting more information about its intelligence products, Sage Intelligence, Sage Enterprise Intelligence and Sage Inventory Advisor, which have all made great progress and have become core to the Sage product offering. Sage will also be showcasing Sage CRM 2014 R2, its recently updated cloud CRM, as well as offering a sneak preview of Sage CRM 7.3, the soon-to-be-released on-premises product.
