Kaizen IT Solutions merges with First Technology

Johannesburg, 27 Feb 2015

Kaizen IT Solutions is pleased to announce it will be officially trading as First Technology, effective as of the 1 March 2015.

This decision to merge was made in order to provide existing and future clients with greater access to end-to-end IT technology and service offerings. This includes improved scalability for clients and the confidence of dealing with one of South Africa's premier IT solution providers.

First Technology's well established back-end infrastructure and enterprise account management can now be utilised to the benefit of Kaizen IT Solutions' clients. This will continue to be underpinned by the excellent service and expertise of Kaizen IT Solutions - including the provision of dedicated account managers as well as optimised back-office processes.

The integration with the broader First Technology business means customers will also have access to national coverage through First Technology's nine fully operational branches located throughout every province in South Africa. Each branch will be able to provide the same level of professional service and expertise.

Services First Technology provides include managed infrastructure solutions, managed software solutions, data centre solutions, managed service solutions and managed consumable solutions.

In addition, they have skilled competencies and technical certifications for all major global brands, including HP, IBM, EMC, Microsoft and many more, all of which contribute towards the support of clients' business-critical infrastructures and processes.

Customers will now also be able to leverage the group's level two contributor broad-based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) status from a procurement point of view.

The formal incorporation of Kaizen IT Solutions as the guiding force to the expansion of First Technology will, among other things, boost the organisation's overall Microsoft partnership status, strengthen its offering within this sector, as well as expand the availability of other major vendor solutions - all for the benefit of its customers.

As a Microsoft Gold partner and a K2 value-added reseller, the integration of Kaizen IT into First Technology will enhance the company's accreditation status at a group level. The new division also has multiple Microsoft competencies, including, among others, a Microsoft Gold competency in Application Integration, which highlights technical prowess in architecture, development and support, as well as exceptional customer satisfaction."

Additional competencies residing within the new First Technology division include: business process management, application and mobile development, enterprise content management, migration and integration services, and the provision of digital strategy to clients.

In order to make this transition with Kaizen IT Solutions' clients, the company will require:

* Master contracts with Kaizen IT Solutions to be re-signed with First Technology; and
* New vendor registration applications to be sent to Kaizen IT Solutions for completion.

If there are any queries or concerns in this regard, please direct them to either Willem Louw or Robert Kendall.

Kaizen IT Solutions appreciates your business thus far, and looks forward to a continued partnership with a smooth transition.
