Cleversafe, the Web-scale storage market share leader, today announced its new partnership with Ericsson as the data storage platform provider for the new Ericsson Secure Cloud Storage solution. The next-generation data centre infrastructure solution provides telecoms operators the ability to offer new cloud storage solutions, addressing security and governance concerns that, until now, have slowed the full adoption of cloud by the world's largest enterprises.

With Cleversafe providing the highest levels of data security, availability and efficiency to the Ericsson Secure Cloud Storage solution, telecoms operators can now deliver cloud data storage services businesses can trust.

With the unprecedented growth in data within the enterprise today - from user-generated to application-generated to machine-generated data - enterprises are facing an equally unprecedented challenge to address their data storage needs. Not only do they need to scale their environments to entirely new levels, enterprises must do so with heightened security, 24x7 availability and new levels of economic efficiency. Since its inception, Cleversafe has taken a different approach to address these requirements and has emerged as the market leader in Web-scale storage systems as a result.

Ericsson's Secure Cloud Storage solution is intended to fulfil specific enterprise IT needs around the secure management of data and storage resources. Cleversafe's Web-scale platform brings carrier-grade security to the multi-tenant software architecture that the category demands. Coupled with nine nines of reliability and 15 times greater efficiency than traditional approaches, Cleversafe's platform provides the Ericsson Secure Cloud Storage solution with a highly scalable offering for telecoms operators and enterprises looking to conquer their data storage challenges.

"This partnership with Ericsson arms telecom operators with the secure Web-scale data storage solutions that they require," said John Morris, president and CEO of Cleversafe. "Considering their telecommunications networks are seen as the most scalable and reliable in the world, we are very pleased to partner with Ericsson for their Secure Cloud Storage solution."

The agreement marks Cleversafe's further growth into the telecommunications industry and complements its market position as the go-to Web-scale platform and share leader in the general object-storage industry. Cleversafe's platform has been successfully deployed across enterprises and telecoms providers with data storage requirements at a petabyte scale and beyond. The Ericsson partnership further expands Cleversafe's distribution network and broadens its global reach.

This collaboration with Ericsson will provide the industry's most secure, scalable and reliable cloud storage solution with a unified user experience, enabling high efficiency in day-to-day operations.

"Cleversafe was the clear choice when we looked for a Web-scale data storage platform to serve at the core of our solution," said Jason Hoffman, Head of Cloud Technology at Ericsson. "Ericsson's cloud storage solution can now offer petabyte and beyond scalability, maximum efficiency and carrier-grade security that our customers value, all within a policy-based environment to maximise data security and integrity as well as ease solution management requirements."

Ericsson's Secure Cloud Storage solution was unveiled at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, during CEO Hans Vestberg's keynote address, and was further discussed in Ericsson's media and analyst press conference held in the Ericsson stand.
