Since the launch of the service to the ISP market in May 2012, Pangea Communications has been able to expand its services to reach hundreds of users in all nine provinces in South Africa. These users can be on WiFi, ADSL, GSM and even satellite networks and are based from Limpopo province all the way to Cape Town, across 20 wireless network providers.
Pangea is also providing faxing solutions to a number of large VOIP providers.
Due to the continued growth in the business, Pangea has appointed Anche Botha as its COO, with effect from 1 February 2015. She will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of Pangea.
Pangea Communications has been selling fax platforms and services for 17 years in 35 countries, and terminates millions of fax minutes per month in SA alone. Users of the fax over IP service will be able to send and receive faxes connecting their existing fax machines or MFP to any IP network through an ATA (analogue terminal adaptor) through the Internet (similar to voice over IP), thus without the need for telephone lines. All on-net calls are free, thus it offer a huge cost benefit for companies doing a lot of intra-branch faxing.
