Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Today marks a monumental day in the history of 20-year-old Space Age. It has announced that Ruhan Neethling, CA (SA), has been appointed as the new Managing Director, with founding partner and shareholder, Chris Welham, BSc Elec Eng as the new Operations Director, in a move that clearly realigns the company's focus to a more customer-centric approach. They will be supported by Lizaan Louw as HR Director.
Former Space Age MD and now MD at Relevant IT, Mark Geschke, says: "As part of this expansion, it was recognised that Relevant IT needed to develop and trade as a separate entity, which I now head up. What has made my decision to move on easier was the knowledge that we have an experienced executive and operational leadership team within Space Age. It is from this solid base that I believe Space Age can now move forward to establish even deeper relationships and help turn IT into business value for each customer."
Sharing his vision, Neethling states: "I am really excited about this new path that we are on. Our main focus will be to take service delivery to new heights. The customer continues to be our number one priority at Space Age. This will result in the roll-out of additional customer-centric services based on the requirements of the market. It really is a fantastic time to lead this company into the future."
This move enables Space Age to simplify technology and deliver new services that cater for the changing business environments and challenges within the SME space.
"Space Age has supported our company for more than a decade, delivering quality solutions and service. We are intrigued and very excited about this announcement and look forward to see how they will continue to exceed our expectations," says Werner Kleinschmidt, partner at Logista.
