Jasco appoints channel sales manager

The Jasco Group has appointed Mark Stephens as channel sales manager for Jasco Enterprise.

The company says Stephens is tasked to build and drive Jasco's channel business, and develop new opportunities.

With this position, Jasco Enterprise is expanding its focus on the channel, augmenting its resources to further service and grow its channel ecosystem.

The company says it sells its business communication solutions through a reseller network, which requires a management resource to assist these resellers to drive sales and provide support.

Stephens' aim is to deliver this support, continue to forge relationships with resellers and increase sales.

"My immediate to long-term goals include forging existing relationships and strategically expanding Jasco Enterprise's channel partners," says Stephens.

"I plan to establish relationships with partners that are committed to providing the appropriate solutions to their customers and have the same ethical code as Jasco. We aim to deliver solutions through our partners that enhance their customers' business value and improve efficiencies, heightening their competitiveness."

He cites difficult trading conditions, shrinking budgets and price sensitivity as some of the challenges he will face in the new role.

Furthermore, he notes, there is scepticism in the market as there are many companies that have invested heavily in technology yet have not realised the return they anticipated. In addition, when companies consider new technology, they are faced with an overwhelming number of solutions which further contributes to delaying investment, he adds.

Stephens holds a senior national diploma in data communication and has a number of years' experience within telecommunications and sales environments. He previously worked with Jasco through mutual projects and had exposure to the company, its offering and how the business operated.
