Ricoh SA has made four new appointments to key management positions that enhance the company's IT service delivery capability and provide strong leadership in strategic regions.

The appointments support Ricoh's shift to being an IT services-led company over the traditional products and solutions focus on document imaging equipment.

"Our services-led strategy enables our customers to harness new, emerging and future technologies to improve profitability, agility, mobility and productivity," says Jacques van Wyk, COO at Ricoh SA. "Companies of the future will behave very differently from how they do today. We have envisioned the workplace of the future and developed the roadmap that helps companies get there. The recent management appointments we have made continue our march along that road to ensuring our customers are prepared to be highly competitive."

Morgan Crosby is now director of customer services group; Robert Janssen is director of direct channel operations; Charl Vogel is regional manager of Western Cape in Cape Town; and David Minnaar is regional manager for KwaZulu-Natal in Durban.

Crosby is promoted from GM of pre- and post-sales, commercial account management, and special projects and project office at Ricoh SA. Crosby has decades of experience in customer and service delivery management across all aspects of the business, including IT and business operations. "We needed someone who could perform a business analysis role for our customers, enhance productivity and efficiency in the division, and improve our customers' overall experience," says Van Wyk.

Janssen joins from Ricoh International, based in Amstelveen in the Netherlands, where he was managed document services (MDS) sales manager. He joined Ricoh in 2008 when it acquired IKON, where he was global account relationship executive. "He has extensive expertise in aligning people, processes and technology, which forms the foundation of the services offering Ricoh has brought to market," says Van Wyk.

Vogel was formerly national sales manager of a competitor in the local market, with 21 years of experience in the industry and extensive local business contacts in the Western Cape. "The Western Cape is a highly strategic region for us and Charl has the experience in the technology industry and the ability to drive and grow our presence there," says Van Wyk.

Minnaar has been a part of the Ricoh business for 20 years. He joined Ricoh SA as a salesperson and left 10 years later as national sales manager. He then owned Motswako Office Solutions, a Ricoh business partner and Ricoh's BBBEE partner, for 10 years before he sold it.
