QlikView South Africa, the local distributor of QlikView and QlikSense business intelligence (BI) tools from Qlik, again received top honours at this year's Qonnections 2015 global partner summit - this time winning Academic Partner of the Year in the first conferral of this award category.

The company previously bagged the inaugural Special Recognition Award as well as the first Partner of the Year Award.

The prestigious annual awards, contested by 1 700 partners from more than 100 countries, enjoy a high profile in the industry, as Qlik is a leader in the new generation of business intelligence software (BI).

Customer confidence

Davide Hanan, MD of QlikView South Africa, says the latest award is recognition of the company's leadership in training and deep technical knowledge of Qlik's products, and will give the market additional confidence in its leading support and technology.

This success is also reflected in the fact that since QlikView was introduced in South Africa in 2004, more than 1 500 leading South African groups have adopted it as their BI platform.

"2014 was a momentous year for Qlik and our partners, due to the introduction of Qlik Sense self-service analytics into the market," said Christof Majer, VP of Partner Sales, Qlik. "We are proud to acknowledge the achievements of our partners, and look forward to our mutual success in 2015."
