UCS Solutions, the leading IT service provider to the retail industry, is proud to announce the organisation's recent certification to PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Version 3. This major milestone was achieved as a payment service provider (PSP) and IT service provider.
Adherence to PCI DSS is mandatory for all merchants and service providers that store, transmit or process any credit card or debit card information. Merchants failing to adhere to the 12 requirements set out by the PCI Council for PCI DSS are subject to substantial fines, and risk losing EFT trading rights via MasterCard and Visa.
UCS Solutions' IT Executive for Governance, Risk and Compliance, Glen Khan, explains that, by continuously complying with these standards, the company is in a position to ensure cardholder data is protected at all times.
