SQS partners with Atlassian to help companies meet the digital agenda

London, 07 Jul 2015

Independent software quality specialist SQS has become an Atlassian expert partner, to help its customers embrace new development models and keep up with the pace of technology change.

In today's digitally driven environment, companies need to do things faster, better and more cost effectively. Delivery models are changing and those who can't keep up with the latest trends will struggle to deliver the right technology, to the right people, continuously.

As the use of agile methodologies continues to mature and DevOps becomes more prevalent within the development environment, SQS has joined forces with software development product company Atlassian to broaden the opportunities and value it can offer to its clients.

This global agreement means that in addition to its existing partnerships, SQS can help its customers fully embrace new tool sets and emerging approaches from Atlassian, including JIRA (planning and tracking tool) and ConfluenceQuestions (knowledge sharing platform).

Customers will not only benefit from having access to Atlassian products but consultation and training services from SQS to ensure they get the most out of the tools. As part of its partner enablement plan, the SQS team will become fully immersed in the Atlassian environment, through dedicated training and self-learning, allowing a transfer of knowledge to customers to help them get the best out of their investment. The SQS-Test Professional solution also fully integrates with JIRA to aid speed-to-market and ensure the necessary due diligence has been undertaken before new software goes live.

Phil Codd, managing director, SQS Ireland, explains: "As we speed headlong into the digital economy, the pace of technology change will only continue. As a result, we are seeing some exciting new technologies coming onto the market. By partnering with Atlassian we are able to strengthen our proposition as a solutions provider and help our customers cope with change and take advantage. We are continually looking to build on our 30 years' experience in the quality assurance space to facilitate these new approaches, and this partnership complements our aim and existing ecosystem."

Commenting on the partnership, Matthew Coughlan at Atlassian said: "SQS has an unrivalled heritage in quality assurance and helping companies bring new technologies to market with the necessary speed and due diligence. Through working with SQS we are able to give customers the whole package - from product through to delivery and training - to ensure our approach makes a real and valuable difference for users."
