In the effort to renew and expand its existing telecommunications infrastructure, ENEL ENDESA has selected SIAE MICROELETTRONICA GROUP as sole supplier for its Spanish and Peru transport network. The latest generation of microwave radio, WDM, auxiliary equipment, a network management system and related professional services, including the complete network design, are part of the supply.
In Spain the new network will offer a high capacity WDM system interconnecting the different electrical substations. The use of microwave radio as spur links is to aggregate lower order traffic as well as to offer data services to local offices in the different country locations. In Peru the network extension is based on microwave radio only.
