Local IP networking specialist, three6five, has strengthened its virtualisation game by announcing a partnership with Tintri, a leading producer of VM-aware storage for cloud and virtualised environments.
"As we are in the middle of a technology shift to virtualisation in the data centre, it makes sense for us to increase our focus on this area," comments Tyrone Carroll, CEO of three6five. "Tintri offers best-of-breed products in this space, and therefore they were the logical choice of vendor for our partnership."
Virtualised applications are becoming the norm, and traditional storage is 20 years overdue for a shakeup. The mismatch between a dynamic virtualised environment and traditional storage products leaves enterprises to struggle with solutions that don't address the most important needs of IT - the visibility and control of the dynamic nature of data in a virtualised world.
Tintri builds storage for virtualised and cloud environments - enabling IT to manage their applications instead of their infrastructure. Applications drive business and infrastructure exists to support the apps. Tintri allows every storage action to be taken at that granular level - clone, replicate, automate and analyse - to present actionable information and even guarantee the performance of individual applications.
"three6five has a strong reputation as a key reseller in South Africa," says Claudio Polla, Regional Manager - Middle East Africa at Tintri. "With its large network of customers , the company will help Tintri to roll out its solutions across the region. Our goal is to continue to build our strong sales coverage and help businesses across South Africa to improve storage efficiencies in their virtualised environments. three6five will play a key role in helping our solutions reach the key enterprises that are optimising their virtual infrastructures."
