Kyocera launches five new cutting-edge A4 colour Ecosys printers and MFPs

Johannesburg, 19 Aug 2015

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world's leading document solutions companies, announces the launch of three printers and two MFP colour devices. All are based on the award-winning Ecosys technology, including the durable drum with a yield of up to 300 000 pages, lowering waste generated during the life of the product and further enhancing Kyocera's impressive environmental credentials. The new A4 colour line-up is ideal for all workgroups who are looking for managed colour and the lowest CPP in their class.

The market for high speed A4 devices continues to grow significantly and there is increasing expectation that these devices perform at levels normally expected for A3 devices.

Kyocera South Africa is meeting this expectation with five new devices which offer improved print speeds of up to 35ppm for the MFPs and 40ppm for the printers. The series is ideal for teams who need a variety of media capability from A6 to A4 with up to five paper trays simultaneously using different paper sizes and weight of up to 220gsm, giving even the most demanding office full flexibility.

Davy Khonzani, Hardware product manager at Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa notes, "We take a customer-centric approach to product development. Our customers like a partner who understands their needs and delivers affordable products which help them grow their business. This family of high speed, high performance products guarantee satisfaction for customers needing superior colour combined with first rate features."

High speed colour printing

The Ecosys P6130cdn, P6035cdn, and P7040cdn offer speeds of up to 40ppm and come loaded with a host of features such as mobile printing support for iOS and Android. The Ecosys P6035cdn and P7040cdn boast a five line LCD display and alphanumeric keypad for ease of use and effortless entry of pin codes. Access control allows limits to be set by a user profile or application profile to reduce colour printing when it is not needed, for instance when printing e-mails. The printers also boast reduced TEC values and noise levels which, when combined with Ecosys long-life technology, ensure they are unrivalled when it comes to economical accreditation.

Superior colour and first rate features

Also equipped with mobile printing support, the MFPs have high performance speeds of up to 35ppm in both colour and black and white and scan up to 60 pages per minute. All products offer double-sided print, scan and copy functionality as standard, and even the 30ppm model, Ecosys M6530cdn, offers advanced scanning, performance and capacity typically only available in high-end models. The Ecosys M6530cdn and M6535cidn have additional fax capabilty. Ecosys M6535cidn is HyPASTM capable and equipped with a large colour touch panel, allowing seamless integration into a wide range of bespoke customer solutions and document workflows.

The new Ecosys series delivers on cost, speed, security, flexibility and first rate environmental features - a must for all small to medium-sized workgroups.

All products will be available from 1st August 2015, except for the Ecosys P7040cdn, which will be available in November 2015.
