Over time, business analysts have come to accept the fact that some of their computations take a very long time. But with today's technologies, there is no need to be constrained by limited amounts of storage or processing capabilities.
Using today's high-performance analytics, analysts can realistically ask: "What could happen if I could get my results almost instantaneously?"
Consider an example. With its existing hardware and processing paradigms, one organisation needed 176 hours to run an analytical process. When it switched to using in-memory processing with high-performance analytics, the same process ran in less than 90 seconds.
