City of Tshwane residents who want to volunteer their time or donate goods can connect with registered non-profit organisations using the Tshwane forgood online service.

The City of Tshwane initiative is available on the city's free WiFi network, and is run in partnership with Project Isizwe, Happimo and forgood.

According to a statement, the platform will make finding ways to give back quick, easy, fun and free. All users connected to Tshwane's free WiFi will be able to browse and use the forgood platform without their daily browser limit being affected.

"Tshwane forgood is another example of how the City of Tshwane is using technology to improve the lives of residents," says Kgosientso Ramokgopa, executive mayor of the City of Tshwane.

Citizens who would like to volunteer or donate time to a good cause can find out more by following the links on the Tshwane free WiFi content portal.
