DEVELOP South Africa conference keeps dealers ahead of the pack in a climate characterised by change

DEVELOP South Africa's annual dealer conference was held at Emperor's Palace, which saw attendees coming from across the country to find out what a growing DEVELOP presence and changing market have in store for them. The conference was also the platform for the launch of a full black and white and colour A4 range, a first for DEVELOP South Africa's product portfolio.

Marc Pillay, divisional managing director of DEVELOP South Africa, gave the welcoming address, along with an overview of the year-on-year growth of DEVELOP South Africa and current global market trends. Subsequent sessions offered the delegates an outlook on future products and services, and business solutions; with speakers coming from Konica Minolta South Africa, as well as DEVELOP at a global level.

Delegates were in particular delighted with the launch of the ineo 4050/4750, which are high end monochrome multifunctional devices; and multifunctional monochrome all-rounder, the ineo 4020.

"The introduction of our full A4 range was an exciting moment for DEVELOP locally and its partners," explains Pillay. "The monochrome ineo 4050/4750 is targeted at office users wanting advanced functionality, high productivity, reassuring data security and eco-friendliness from an A4 office device. Whatever the business or industry, this multifunctional device will meet the document needs of all small businesses and up to mid-sized workgroups.".

On describing the ineo 4020 to the conference delegates, Casey Steyn, DEVELOP South Africa's product specialist explained that DEVELOP's new multifunctional all-rounder, the ineo 4020 offers huge potential for improving the efficiency of document workflows in small businesses or start-ups, small to mid-sized workgroups and home offices. "By enabling people to get back to their real work faster and actually enjoy such routine jobs as printing, copying, scanning or faxing, this powerfully efficient monochrome office system impacts positively on productivity and motivation," she says.

But it was not all just black and white, as the next generation in multifunctional A4 colour devices, the ineo +3350 and +3850, were also presented to delegates.

"Up to now, many multifunctional A4 colour devices have been low on features. The only way to ensure a wide range of functions and features and a high degree of operational convenience was to invest in a more expensive A3 device. But now these days are over. With the launch of the ineo+ 3350 and +3850, DEVELOP offers a fully featured multifunctional A4 device that meets all the needs of small businesses or start-ups, small to mid-sized workgroups and home offices from every possible sector of the economy," explains Steyn.

"This year's conference focused on change, both internal and external, and on developing our dealers practical skills and knowledge to help them grow their businesses with the wide range of DEVELOP products and solutions available to them and their clients," concludes Pillay.
