Dell has recently experienced a winning streak, coming out tops and raking in the awards at two different industry events.

The Gender Mainstreaming Awards 2015

Business Engage developed the Gender Mainstreaming Awards to encourage companies within the private sector to buy-in to achieving more meaningful representation of women in the mainstream of business.

On the night, Dell won the 'Diversity and Transformation' award for their Equity Equivalent Project, the Khulisa Academy, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry and Centre for High Performance Computing.

Recognised as the best among some great contenders such as Umsinisi Health Care and Bophelong Construction, has given Dell the platform to showcase the value they place on diversity and transformation across the organisation as a whole.

Through the launch of the Khulisa Academy earlier this year, an Equity Equivalent Project in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Centre for High Performance Computing, Dell is committed to placing continued focus on promoting women in the industry by training black women from disadvantaged communities in High Performance Computing. "This will not only promote women in the IT industry but it speaks directly to the scarce and critical skills in South Africa and Dell is proud to invest in a project of this magnitude," says Natasha Reuben, Head of Transformation for Dell South Africa.

The 1st annual Careers 24 Future HR Awards was a spectacular event. Industry leaders were brought together to celebrate excellence and recognise individuals, teams and organisations for their outstanding achievements in people management, by showcasing strategies and practices that deliver direct impact on business performance and innovations that set new standards for the industry.

Up against big corporates such as Vodacom, Mint Management Technologies, Accsys, Club Travel SA, Plus 94 Research and Tongaat Hulett, Dell took home the 'Best Industry Innovation Corporate Creativity' award for their commitment to transformation through the Khulisa Academy.

"We are humbled and delighted to have won these prestigious awards which go a long way in showing that we are making a marked impact in the communities in which we operate. It is wonderful to belong to an organisation that is committed to the growth and development of South Africa in a sustainable manner," concludes Reuben.
