The HTC Desire 626 will be available at MTN stores nationwide next month. The device is HTC's latest mid-range smartphone and allows consumers to personalise features.

Aesthetically, there are a variety of colour combinations available in a two-tone finish. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 and features HTC Sense, which provides an enhanced, fully customised Android functionality and interface.

"Our new HTC Desire 626 is designed to give you the most customised personal user experience," says Neeraj Seth, HTC head of marketing for MEA.

Although the device only comes with 16GB internal memory, the microSD slot supports up to 2TB additional storage.

Local pricing is still to be confirmed, but according to Price Check, the handset will cost R4 399 from MTN and R4 100 as a grey import from Orange.
