Celebrate the achievements of the ICT industry's elite leaders at this year's IITPSA President's Awards, to be held at the Hilton Hotel, Sandton, Johannesburg, on Thursday 12 November.
The much-anticipated IT Personality and Visionary CIO winners will be chosen out of the top five finalists in each category.
Keynote speaker Anton Musgrave, futurist, entrepreneur and business strategist, will set the scene for the celebration of leadership and innovation in the industry, as he provides a glimpse into an 'exponential world' of the future.
The Matangari Primary School in Limpopo will receive a portion of the event's proceeds to build a library. The school was established in 1921. Its first classrooms were built with mud and bricks, and learners were taught in multi-grades. The school has grown and developed since then, but is still lacking learner resources. This library, which will be named after MC Daba, the school principal from 1983 until 2012, will be a much-needed and welcome addition to the school's facilities.

Exclusive Books will have a selection of age-appropriate books as well as the latest business titles available for purchase at the event, and donations will be collected for the library on the day.
"Promoting excellence is what the annual IITPSA President's Awards is all about, and the event sees this extend beyond the winners of each award," says Ranka Jovanovic, ITWeb editorial director. "It's about joining forces with peers and stakeholders to generate ideas and make contributions that will make a difference and create greater good for the entire industry and the country."
She notes the industry has long said there is not enough support for skills development in SA. "Attending this year's celebration, and helping build a library for one rural school, is the perfect opportunity for the industry to put its money where its mouth is, and rally together for the greater good.
"Buy-a-book and bring-a-book are gestures of reaching out and making a tiny, but tangible difference in a child's life."
