Bytes selects Broadridge Financial Solutions to deliver advanced technology solutions to South African banks and corporations

Alliance provides local financial institutions and corporates with better access to world-class capabilities to increase operational efficiency and business control.

Johannesburg, 08 Dec 2015

Bytes Universal Systems (BUS), a division of Altron TMT, South Africa's largest privately owned converged services provider, today announced its strategic alliance with Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE: BR), a leading provider of technology-driven solutions for the global financial services industry, to help financial institutions and companies solve business challenges, increase operational efficiency and accelerate growth. The alliance will enable firms to benefit from the powerful combination of Bytes' local market expertise and Broadridge's award-winning technology solutions for operational process management and control.

Broadridge's operational process management and control solutions, in particular its SWIFT-enabled global financial transaction messaging and reconciliation service, will deliver enduring business value to South African firms through improved business control and transparency; reduced exposure to risk; and higher levels of operational efficiency.

"This alliance represents a tremendous opportunity for firms to benefit from the unique combination of Broadridge's best-in-class global transaction automation and process control, together with BUS' leadership position as a premier specialised provider of value-add IT solutions to the South African market," said Mark Neethling, General Manager: Financial Services at BUS. "Collectively, we are fully committed to help firms transform their levels of efficiency and prospects for growth."

"Firms around the globe are currently impeded by a lack of standardisation and process control in their operations, which exposes them to avoidable costs and errors, and disparate views of cash management and investments across business units," said Jerome Hoffman, Director of Business Development, Africa, Broadridge. "The Broadridge alliance will help firms reduce processing costs and mitigate risks by centralising transactional workflows, both domestically and cross-border, while at the same time improving the detection and resolution of errors."
