The companies plan to jointly develop go-to-market strategies for creating differentiated solutions and flexible delivery capabilities for cloud deployments.

Management consulting and technology services company, Accenture and enterprise application software company, SAP have partnered to accelerate development of the cloud-powered Suite 4 SAP HANA (SAP S/4HANA) suite of business applications.

According to the software company, SAP S/4 HANA had 1 300 users as of 20 October 2015, eight months since its introduction in the market in February.

The collaboration aims to foster development of SAP S/4HANA and line-of-business solutions, to help simplify and fast-track companies' journeys to digital businesses, says SAP.

Accenture will offer companies a way to tailor SAP S/4HANA to suit their individual business needs and fast-track their implementation of the software, it adds.

Accenture's teams in Germany and Shanghai are working to improve the design and build of SAP S/4 HANA finance solutions.

The companies plan to jointly develop go-to-market strategies for creating differentiated solutions and flexible delivery capabilities for cloud deployments.

The companies believe that such combined efforts will help enhance the momentum of SAP S/4HANA adoption.

Zacks Equity Research says Accenture's delivery expertise is expected to be heavily helpful toward reducing "time-to-market" duration.

According to Paul Daugherty, chief technology officer at Accenture, "This strategic agreement to further advance our collaboration and integration builds on the success of the existing Accenture and SAP Business Solutions Group."

The joint venture formed back in 2014 is aimed at building a go-to-market strategy on combined abilities and efforts of both the companies.

Accenture developers and industry experts are now working side by side with SAP, providing the software company with insight and development opportunities with SAP S/4HANA, adds Daugherty.

"We plan to involve clients as part of a broader co-innovation strategy to ensure that we are optimising our development efforts for SAP S4/HANA to meet their needs and help them stay competitive across industries and markets."

Bernd Leukert, member of the executive board, products and innovation at SAP, says the enhanced agreement with Accenture signifies another key step to further strengthen SAP's commitment to SAP S/4HANA.

"We look forward to working with Accenture to drive digital transformation for businesses with even simpler solutions that accelerate time to value."
