The Network Aware mobile application rollout to key site, facilitating full operational overview to the customer

Johannesburg, 08 Feb 2016

Fujitsu today introduced a pilot version of the Network Aware application at its key customer site, and this will be migrated to production within Q1 2016. This futuristic application enables the business to not only view their current operation, but also rule defined problems and alerts at a glance, which in turn allows pre-emptive corrective actions ahead of time.

Real-time monitoring and decision support has become key to the transport industry. This is especially true in the fast-moving and congested world of aviation. "Our efforts remain focused on providing the industry with class-leading graphical presentations of the state of their business, and at the same time gather the needed key information to suggest optimal real-time corrective measures needed to recover from irregular operations," says Julian Warner (CTI Senior Vice-President Global Solutions).

Through the Fujitsu partnership with CTI, there is a commitment to create "best in market" solutions. In order to realise this objective, clients have been broadly consulted and their needs matched to developments in IT to ensure the solution exceeds today's requirements and has a development path aligned to expanding technological development. Travel, transport and logistics industry clients who have been exposed to the roadmap have expressed substantial excitement at, and enthusiasm for, the Fujitsu/CTI Next Generation leading edge decision support solutions.

The partnership formalisation concluded in April 2015 between Fujitsu South Africa and CTI (Australia) has proven to be solid and is resulting in the establishment of next-generation support systems for the transport industry.

"We hosted a booth and presented expert talks at the Fujitsu Forum, held in Munich in November 2015, one of the largest IT conventions in Europe," says Alex Wann (Airlines Manager). "This yielded much excitement and interest in our solutions from customers around the world."

The partnership remains committed to sharing its experience with the airline industry at large at this year's **AGIFORS conferences. This will allow the exchange of new ideas and industry trends, which supports the intent of a continuous search for the future leading-edge enhancements.
