T-Systems South Africa hosts its second 'InTouch Technology' event this month, taking a radical spin on digital transformation, and showing how the ICT leader is abandoning traditional rules to ICT outsourcing - in favour of lower-risk, flexible partnerships with customers and guaranteed cost-savings.
Within this re-imagined outsourcing framework, known as "un-outsourcing", clients enjoy new levels of freedom, reduce the risk of exploring new technologies - and can finally burst free from the shackles of lock-in.
"'In Touch 2016' will also highlight our breakthrough technologies that create previously unimaginable opportunities for businesses in every sector," explains Gert Schoonbee, MD of T-Systems South Africa.
"This new style of partnership shakes-up the IT outsourcing landscape. We realise bold steps need to be taken to enable our clients' rapid evolution towards new digital business models."
The event's structure - a fast-paced series of half-hour discussions, demos, keynotes and customer stories - will cover a wide spectrum of industry innovations and topics relating to digital disruption.
From smart cities, to connected cars, to the latest in smart energy, manufacturing automation, and healthcare, it will look at opportunities for digital transformation in every major sector. Keynotes on digitisation, cloud computing and the latest in cyber-security round out a chock-a-block day of fresh insights.
"Each session has been carefully crafted to provide practical, hands-on advice for business leaders," continues Schoonbee. "We want to get to the heart of how digital can accelerate your efficiency drive, wow your customers with exceptional experiences, and generate brand-new revenue streams."
Digital disruption is reshaping industries and business models at unrelenting pace - fuelled by trends like mobility, cloud, analytics and more. Organisations can no longer rely on traditional approaches, traditional thinking and traditional IT, if they want to remain relevant.
"At T-Systems, we understand this all too well, and have embraced disruption at every level. Redefining the way that IT partnerships operate, through our radical new approach termed 'un-outsourcing' is a critical step in helping our clients make the transition to digital," adds Schoonbee.
'In Touch Technology 2016' takes place in Midrand, Gauteng on 12 May, and in Cape Town on 19 May.
