Ovations Academy achieves CompTIA partnership status

Johannesburg, 05 May 2016

CompTIA, the worldwide leader in vendor-neutral certification, has awarded CompTIA partnership status to the Ovations Academy. In terms of the partnership, the academy is now accredited to deliver training and facilitation to prepare candidates for CompTIA's A+ and N+ IT professional certifications.

"This is an important development for us and allows us to deliver world-class training and facilitation to our clients," says Anel Kemp, Practice Lead for the Ovations Academy. "Becoming a CompTIA certified IT professional is a prestigious achievement and one that allows individuals to aim for far greater professional opportunities. The skills acquired via training are, moreover, relevant and professional, and having CompTIA certified IT professionals on staff is viewed by many companies as the best way to meet today's modern technology challenges."

With immediate effect, Ovations Academy will be running the full A+ and N+ courses, with both practical and theoretical knowledge shared so that candidates are equipped to achieve the best possible exam results.

Upcoming dates for training include:

CompTIA N+ 23-27 May 2016
CompTIA A+ Essentials 4-8 July 2016
CompTIA A+ Practical Application 11-15 July 2016

CompTIA A+ certified professionals qualify for careers that include: Technical support specialist; field service technician; IT support technician; IT support administrator; and IT support specialist. N+ certified professionals, in turn, are equipped to succeed in the following careers: Network field technician; help desk technician; network support specialist; network administrator; network analyst; and computer technician.

"Our CompTIA course students will be in excellent hands, under the supervision and guidance of Ovations Academy's own Phillip Davis. He is a certified CompTIA trainer as well as MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) and has been delivering CompTIA training for a number of years," says Kemp.

She also confirmed that Ovations Academy is pursuing additional CompTIA certifications and will add these to its course offering in the near future. Included among these are the Security+ and CASP (Certified Advanced Security Professional) trainings.

"There is a definite demand for CompTIA certifications in the marketplace, and we are pleased to be among the very few companies that have this added benefit as part of their service offerings. We believe it's an essential service and we're proud to deliver world-class training and facilitation to our clients and grateful for this opportunity to strengthen our position as a training provider."
