Interactive Intelligence cloud solutions achieve international compliance

Interactive Intelligence PureCloud and Communications as a Service attain international compliance requirements across all the company's global data centres.

Johannesburg, 27 May 2016

Interactive Intelligence Group's (Nasdaq: ININ) PureCloud and Communications as a Service (CaaS) solutions have met international compliance requirements across all its global data centres.

"With more than 20 years of experience working with global contact centres that are regularly tasked with collecting sensitive customer data, we deeply understand strict security, compliance and privacy standards," said Dr Donald Brown, Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO. "We've upgraded our compliance certifications to fully represent our global service offerings so our international customers can rest assured they're getting the safest, most trusted cloud services on the market."

PureCloud is Interactive's latest customer engagement cloud solution based on microservice architecture running atop Amazon Web Services. It has achieved a statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE 16) and International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE 3402) SOC2 Type II.

CaaS, Interactive's single-tenant customer engagement cloud solution, achieved validation of its 14 global data centres by upgrading its statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE 16) and International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE 3402) SOC 2 Type II. Interactive also updated its CaaS Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification to PCI-DSS 3.1 in the US and European Union.

These updated certifications validate the effectiveness of Interactive's controls for the Trust Service Principles of security, availability and confidentiality for its cloud operations across all its data centres globally.

Interactive Intelligence offers the following additional security measures for its cloud customers:

* Multi-layer protection and data access limitations.
* Services that monitor, defend against, and mitigate cyber assaults and threats.
* Features that include anti-virus management, vulnerability scanning, a secure audit trail, and resource tracking.
* Round-the-clock technical support by comprehensively trained staff to maximise uptime and availability.

Interactive Intelligence also strengthened security measures for its on-premises customer engagement software, Customer Interaction Center (CIC). CIC achieved an upgraded enterprise ISO 27001:2013 certification. This concluded that Interactive's Information Security Management System is operating effectively at its main offices in Frankfurt, Germany; Indianapolis, Indiana (global headquarters); Jacksonville, Florida; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Montreal, Canada; Slough, UK; and Sydney, Australia.

Interactive Intelligence offers other industry certifications at the enterprise level (ISO 9001, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Japan Privacy Mark); at the CIC level (Joint Interoperability Test Command); and at the CaaS level (HIPAA and G-Cloud6 UK). It's also self-certified for the EU/Swiss Safe Harbor Privacy.*

* A note about EU safe harbour: On 6 October 2015, the Court of Justice of the European Union declared EU safe harbour invalid. Interactive continues to maintain its safe harbour self-certification and is closely following the activities regarding the proposed replacement regulation, "Privacy Shield".
