Soarsoft International, specialists in information management and Microsoft cloud solutions, has selected HubStor for next-generation cloud archiving.
Under the agreement, Soarsoft International will run a production deployment of HubStor in its own Microsoft Azure account, and will work with enterprises in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to market and sell HubStor subscriptions with complementary managed services.
"Our clients are looking for ways to become more efficient and reduce their archiving and data protection costs," says Chris Hathaway, Director, Soarsoft. "HubStor's approach to cloud archiving makes it easy to solve the retention, data governance, and search challenges that remain a top priority for most of our clients."
Notable IT analysts are describing a sea change in the enterprise archiving market. Cloud archiving technologies are preferred over traditional on-premises approaches, and new generation cloud archiving solutions offer simplified pricing models with a wider spectrum of features for analytics, data access governance, data loss prevention (DLP), and eDiscovery.
"Archiving has been a best practice for many years, but primarily as a defensive move to protect against negative legal or regulatory consequences", says Michael Osterman, President, Osterman Research. "However, we are now seeing the deployment of next-generation archiving solutions that offer better performance and the ability to help decision makers extract intelligence from their archived data in a way that was not possible even a few years ago."
HubStor is the first data aware cloud archive, automatically generating near-real time analytics on storage, user activity, and policies such as retention, tagging, and full text indexing.
"The cloud gives us the ability to radically simplify how our customers archive, manage, and search their unstructured data", says Greg Campbell, CTO, HubStor. "Our unique approach to data awareness continually runs in the background - securely in each customer's own dedicated tenant - and our customers benefit from fast insights and scalable search-as-a-service without the hassle of owning or operating the infrastructure."
Soarsoft International will assist their clients using HubStor on Microsoft Azure datacentre regions located in Ireland, the Netherlands, and others soon to be coming online in the UK and Germany.
