Software solutions company Bluekey Holdings has partnered with Spanish headquartered SAP partner, Seidor, fast tracking their expansion into the African market.

According to BlueKey, the investment will provide the company's customers with SAP Business One solutions and services, while boosting ICT consulting firm Seidor to the top three global providers of the SAP Business One business management software.

BlueKey offers solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) that provide access to productivity tools which previously only big businesses had access to. The company increases the opportunities for African SMB's to become regional and global businesses.

Bluekey is an early adopter of SAP's in-memory database, SAP HANA. It has more than 35 sites running SAP Business One HANA either in the cloud or on-site.

Through the partnership Bluekey's over 700 customers across Africa will benefit from access to a global company with experience in delivering communication, infrastructure and enterprise resource planning (ERP) products and services, says the company.

In addition, Bluekey says a broader pool of expertise, technologies and services will help its clients realise additional benefits from their investment in ERP, boosting productivity and efficiencies with the latest technologies.

Carlos Iribarren, head of SAP Business One at Seidor, says Bluekey was an attractive investment for the company, thanks to its network of self-sufficient regional offices, extensive partner network and dedicated customer support centres.

"We knew we could increase our business growth in Africa with the right alliance, Bluekey is the ideal partner to help us. It has the right people, know-how, experience, relationships and technology to offer innovative and excellent service across the continent," explains Iribarren.

This deal, he adds, has set Seidor on the right track to become the go-to SAP Business One partner for global roll-outs.

"With a customer retention rate of 99%, and healthy growth in recent years, you know they are doing things right," he notes.

Bluekey co-founder Kevin O'Brien says after 10 years of steady, organic growth, his company needed a strategic partner with the skills, industry knowledge, and global expansion experience and ambitions to take them to the next level.

"This partnership will allow us to realise the significant potential of the business and its resources in order to better serve our customers as they navigate the digital age. As technology requirements become more complex, customers demand more from their suppliers," he points out.

Bluekey becomes part of the Seidor group, which will be reflected in the branding in due course, operational management remains the same and customer relationships are unchanged, concludes O'Brien.
