Wipro, Xactly partner to offer cloud-based solutions

Xactly brings a software-as-a-service solution, which will fill a gap in the current African market for delivering customer value and innovation, says Wipro's Gavin Holme.

Wipro has partnered with enterprise-class, software-as-a-service (SAAS) and cloud-based incentive solutions provider Xactly, to offer cloud-based solutions to organisations for improving their sales and driving growth.

According to Wipro, the partnership will offer sales performance management (SPM) solutions for customer organisations across industry sectors in a SAAS model.

Gartner estimates the SPM software market grew 10% in 2015 to about $715 million. Both Wipro and Xactly believe that the SPM market will continue to grow at a steady pace.

The two companies seek to help customers drive incremental business growth by incentivising and rewarding employee behaviour, says Wipro in a statement.

With organisations constantly devising new ways of incentivising their salesforce to drive desired outcomes, SPM solutions help them bridge the gap between their business goals and sales performance, it adds.

SPM is a key priority for organisations, across the board, says Hiral Chandrana, senior vice president and global head, business application services at Wipro.

Companies can optimise their sales performance processes through effective incentive compensation design for their employees and tools to measure the same, adds Chandrana.

Also, Wipro is working with Xactly to transform compensation programs that will help companies recognise employees who deliver the greatest value to their organisation, regardless of their position in the organisation's hierarchy or tenure at the company.

Xactly's solutions are targeted at companies whose sales teams' performance is critical to their business outcome, says Gavin Holme, country manager, Africa at Wipro.

"In Africa there are numerous organisations that fit this criterion, but we will initially focus on our local relationships and experience of financial services, telecommunications and energy or natural resources firms.

"Xactly brings a SAAS solution which we believe fills a gap in the current African market for delivering customer value and innovation."

The combination of Wipro's local market understanding and Xactly's delivery experience will ensure South African companies extract optimal value from their investments, says Holme.

"We are confident that Wipro's extensive experience in transforming the front-office sales process coupled with Xactly's incentive compensation cloud products will deliver the right platform to accelerate business outcomes for our organisations."
