Through the platform, Infiniti Insurance wanted to offer customers an alternative to the traditional means of buying insurance, says the company CEO Sharon Paterson.

Short term insurer, Infiniti Insurance has introduced Infiniti Online, a secure online insurance platform offering clients the autonomy to manage their personal and business insurance requirements whenever they choose.

The online platform aims to give tech-savvy customers independence when it comes to handling their insurance needs. It allows clients to go online and not only get a quotation for their business, home or motor vehicle insurance, but they are also able to insure items and get immediate cover , according to Infiniti Insurance.

Clients can also submit their claims online, says the company, and the system sends them e-mail confirmations that are automatically generated at various points of the processes.

"We developed this online platform to offer new customers an alternative to the traditional means of buying insurance. They can now manage their portfolios on their own, in their own time. This is innovative and advances the traditional direct insurance market in SA," says Sharon Paterson, CEO of Infiniti Insurance.

The entire on-boarding process is completed online, she continues, from choosing the appropriate cover, to monthly debits and claims, the Infiniti Online platform is user-friendly, easy to navigate and everything is clearly explained in a language that is easily understood. Together with itemised costing, this makes the registration and securing of cover, simple and completely transparent.

"Based on our market research we believe that more and more people are looking for customised insurance solutions, both in terms of personal and business insurance. They are confident, independent, tech-savvy people seeking the convenience of managing their short-term insurance whenever it suits them, without having to speak to a call centre agent.

"Infiniti Insurance has been in operation for 10 years and we are excited about the launch of our new online platform. We look forward to meeting the needs of this market and delivering another superior service," she elaborates.

The company has put certain measures in place to ensure client profiles are safe and secure, Paterson points out.

"We utilise Markit software, a system which complies with both South African and UK standards. Password protection is clearly in place and we have had the system audited, when a new customer logs onto the platform, they get an e-mail with a log in password and code. When they request a quote, it is automatically sent to them together with the full policy wording."
